And London keeps on giving... Another two favourites of the AW10 shows were Richard Nicoll and Charles Anastase.

I have always felt strangely ambivalent about Charles Anastase. I love his concept and the colours and shapes he uses, however the dresses and the whole looks were often too babydoll-ish for me. In a way, his style was both too girly and childish but too grown-up at the same time. A weird concept, I know. I think my style had to evolve and grow in order to understand the subtle sexiness of it all.
This time around, I have fell in love: his coats are to die for! His use of colours and textures is amazing and I feel like jumping on a model, steeling a coat, wrapping me inside it and run.. Seriously, can you think of anything looking more comfortably appropriate right now?
He's been designing those high-waisted floaty trousers for a while now. They're not without remembering -his muse and creative consultant- Valentine Fillol-Cordier's personal style. Until now, I never had considered this shape but with my latest obsession with the 70s, they seems very appropriate. My top look? The third silhouette. It is soft, sexy and classic at the same time. If I could achieve this look this winter, I will have reached perfection. So I'll keep Charles's designs in mind and try my best...
P.S: No point in even mentioning the shoes in this one, Anastase has been literally
killing it for the last few seasons, platform shoes-wise... so no change here...

Let' move onto Richard Nicoll now.. Talking about perfect style, the guy has managed to make his outfits both feminine and masculine, soft and sexy and fitted and loose at the same time. Talk about perfection! As I am growing older, I have noticed that what I like in the different shows are not crazy designs that can only be purchased at one place. No, what I like is a certain style, an assortment of colours which pinpoint exactly the "feel" I'd personally want to achieve. Nicoll's collection is exactly that. The way he's played around with colours, length and the different sheerness of textures is something I would love to manage on a daily basis. The silk pants and jumpers look soft, the leather gloves balance perfectly the boyishness of shirt collars and rolled up sleeves, and the drape of pants and trench-coat nicely counterbalances what could have been a plain classic look. I just love it.
So yes, you've guess it, when I grow up I want be a half Anastase, half Nicoll woman. Wish me luck..
